At our Tambopata Ecolodge, it takes a whole team of dedicated professionals to make sure that every one of our guests has a fun, relaxing, safe and memorable stay in the Amazon rainforest. Whether they are working behind the scenes, or directly with the travelers who come to stay with us in our jungle home, our team members all contribute to the enjoyment and peace of mind of our guests.
Our naturalist guides, many of whom come from local populations, such as the Infierno Indigenous Community, are responsible for introducing and explaining the rainforest to our guests. Chosen for their expert knowledge of the jungle and its flora and fauna, as well as their outgoing personalities, our professional nature interpretation guides are all well-qualified to both inform and accompany visitors, sharing their intimate knowledge of the forest and escorting small groups on excursions in search of fabulous examples of the Amazon’s unique wildlife.
But at Tambopata Ecolodge we also understand that every traveler’s Peru vacation begins at the planning stage. That’s why our destination experts are always available to provide detailed information, and to assist our guests long before they arrive, so they can be sure that they are fully prepared for what is often a once-in-a-lifetime rainforest vacation experience.
And once our guests arrive at Puerto Maldonado’s small airport, or at the town’s bus station if they’ve decided to travel overland from Cusco, they are met by our transfer team. Guests are then escorted to our office in town, where our staff are on hand to help them get ready for the journey by river to our eco-lodge. At our office, they can leave behind in storage everything they won’t need during their stay at our lodge, taking along in the duffel bags we provide only those essentials that won’t weigh them down during their jungle stay.
And once they are on the river, when traveling between the town and the lodge, or during their ecotourism excursions, our guests are in the safe, experienced hands of our boat crews, who know better than anyone the river they have been using as their main highway all their lives.
And of course, at the Ecolodge itself, during our guests’ downtime, those members of our team who are trained and experienced in providing high standard service, accommodation and meals take over. We pride ourselves on ensuring that all our guests enjoy personalized attention and hospitality during their time with us in our jungle home, or when venturing out with us to enjoy the unique experience of camping deep in the Amazon rainforest.
