Here in Tambopata, the National Reserve and our own Private Conservation Area protect the lowland rainforest, palm swamps, oxbow lakes and rivers of southeastern Peru. We are one of the best places in the Amazon to see major macaw clay licks, giant river otters, monkeys and caimans, as well as incredible bird diversity in the form of more than 600 species –all during a relatively short stay.
Access to Tambopata is much easier than it is to many other comparably remote regions of the Amazon across Peru and South America, and yet our wildlife density is outstanding.
